What the extension reads

On LinkedIn, the extension reads comments you type and submit yourself and the posts they belong to: post text, author name, URL and type, images and other visible media, and a link share's title and URL. It records typing time, key count and whether a paste was detected, never the keys themselves. Optional screenshots capture the post only when you grant the screenshot permission. It does not submit comments for you or read your private messages.

Where it is stored

Captured comments, post metadata and media are stored in your browser, in the extension's chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB. Your connection token is stored locally too. Media of captured posts never leave the browser. When connected, Streambuild also stores the text and metadata sent for your examples to decide whether they count and to write drafts in your voice.

What is sent where

Unconnected: nothing leaves the browser for Streambuild. The extension may download post images from LinkedIn's own media servers to keep a local copy; those requests do not include your cookies. Exports are files on your computer.

Connected: the extension talks to Streambuild at https://api.streambuild.co. For each captured comment it sends the comment text, post text, author name, URL and type, a link share's title and URL, the number of images (never the images), typing signals (typing time, key count and whether a paste was detected), and the extension version. Streambuild uses them to decide whether the comment counts and to write drafts in your voice. Images and other media of captured posts are not sent to Streambuild.

When you ask for a draft, the text of that post and up to 4 of its images are sent for that one draft. They are not stored or logged. Breakage reports contain which capture selector failed, the extension version and page kind. Account checks send your connection token and return connection status. No request to Streambuild runs while you are unconnected.

How to delete it

Deleting an example in the extension deletes it at Streambuild too. Local media are deleted with the example. Disconnecting stops all sending. “Disconnect this browser” revokes this browser's token; Disconnect in the Streambuild app revokes every browser. If an offline disconnect cannot reach Streambuild, the extension clears the local token and tells you to revoke access in the app. Uninstalling removes local extension data.
